ORLANDO, Fla. — Earlier this week, a group of Nautique employees spent four days helping several impoverished families in Guatemala, according to a release from the company.

Nautique employees served a community whose homes were built on abandoned railroad tracks about 45 minutes outside of Guatemala City. They provided materials and manual labor to build bunk beds from scratch. The team were guests at the community’s local church service on Sunday and also made, and distributed, gift bags for 150 of the community’s children.

This year’s trip follows three other international service trips the company’s employees have taken since 2007. On previous trips the employees travelled to Mexico to build homes for needy families and to Nicaragua to serve in a shelter for homeless teenage mothers and their children.

“Guatemala was an amazing experience for everyone and this trip demonstrates the incredible kindness and service culture of our Nautique employees,” Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin said in the release.
