American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC)
ABYC has been developing, writing and updating the voluntary safety standards for boat building and repair in the United States for 45 years and now is involved actively with the development of international standards as well as certification programs for marine technicians.

Boating Industry Association of Victoria Ltd. (BIA)
The Boating Industry Association (BIA) of Victoria Ltd. represents marine businesses in the Australian providence of Victoria. Its Web site provides a description of the organization and the benefits of membership, a sophisticated search service to help users find member businesses that can meet their needs and a description of BIA events.


British Marine Industries Federation
The British Marine Industries Federation (BMIF) is the trade association for the UK's boating industry. Its primary role is to promote and protect the industry.

The BMIF's 1,500 members come from all sectors of the UK marine industry from boat builders to marina operators and from hire boat operators to specialist equipment and clothing manufacturers.


California Cape Dory Owners Association
Cape Dory built sturdy, salty sail and powerboats in New England for over a quarter century, and many of their designs are still in production at several locations. A number of these boats have found their way to California, where the California Cape Dory Owners Association was founded in 1994 to share stories, Cape Dory information, and food and drink.


Canadian Power & Sail Squadrons
A nationwide organization emphasizing boating safety, power and sail navigation and offering accredited boating courses. Since 1938, the volunteer trainers of Canada's largest association of boating enthusiasts have offered safe boating courses across Canada. Successful completion of the qualifying examinations for Boat Pro and the Boating Course lead to particular membership categories. Each category ensures special membership benefits.


Electric Boat Association of the Americas
The Electric Boat Association of the Americas is an organization of individuals with an interest in electric-powered boating. Most EBAA members reside in the United States and Canada, but the membership includes a few individuals in the Caribbean, Central and South America. We even have members in Australia and Africa. We welcome new members from anywhere in the world.


International Marina Institute
IMI is a non-profit membership organization which offers Management training, education and information about research, legislation and environmental issues effecting the marina industry.

IMI is a marine trade organization which encompasses all segments of the marina business on both a National and International basis.


Lake Erie Marine Trade Association
LEMTA is a trade association of more than 100 recreational boat dealers, marina operators and pleasure boat service companies located across northern Ohio. It isn't often that a trade organization, most-often formed to protect the interest of its members, also plays the key role in looking out for the consumer.


Marina Recreation Association (MRA)
The Marina Recreation Association (MRA) serves the interests of California's boating industry businesses. Its Web site offers a detailed profile of the trade association and its activities, a thorough list of contacts at the MRA, a news and issues section that provides important MRA-related information about the recreational boating industry and a short list of links to the sites of California marine businesses and government offices.


Marine Fabricators Association (MFA)
The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) is a division of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI). MFA members fabricate boat covers, sails, upholstery--interior and exterior. Specifically the boat covers include: Cockpit Cover, Fly Bridge Cover, Buggy Top, Marlin Tower, Drop Curtain, Half Tower, Travel Cover, Side Curtains, Aft Curtains, Traditional and California Dodgers, Mooring cover, camper enclosure, windshield cover, sail cover, Bimini enclosure, Spray Hood, Tee Top, Bimini Top, Fly Bridge Bimini, Fly Bridge Enclosure, Tuna Tower, Hatch Cover, Pedestal Cover, Windlass Cover, Toerail Caprail Cover, Cockpit Cushions, and Companionway Covers.The purpose of MFA is to provide resources and programs for marine fabricators to deal with common problems and opportunities; to develop a fellowship among marine fabricators; to establish standards of excellence for business practices, products and craftsmanship; and to establish and maintain an identity for marine fabricators. Each year MFA sponsors several educational opportunities including regional workshops and an annual convention. MFA also hosts the annual MFA Fabrication Excellence Awards Program.

Marine Industries Association of Florida
MIAF is a nonprofit trade association whose goal is to promote recreational boating in Florida as a traditional family pastime, to protect and enhance the environment and preserve every citizen's right to access Florida's waterways. MIAF represents its 1800 recreational marine business members on a state and federal level while striving to advance Florida's marine industry and it's workforce.


Massachusetts Marine Trades Association
The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association offers information about boating in the state as well information about all our members and the boats, products and services they provide.


National Clean Boating Campaign
The Marine Environmental Education Foundation (MEEF) has launched the first ever National Clean Boating Campaign (NCBC), a year-round program to promote good stewardship of our water resources by boating families, marina operators, boat dealers and manufacturers.


National Marine Bankers Association (NMBA)
The National Marine Bankers Association (NMBA) was formed in 1980 in response to a request by the NMMA for additional sources of financing for its members' products. Today the NMBA has about 70 member lenders who offer both inventory financing and retail financing (both direct and indirect through dealer networks) to the marine industry. The NMBA’s primary focus is on education: 1) educating its members about recommended methods of underwriting and securing collateral position through an annual workshop; and 2) educating the public about the affordability of boating through its Website, various articles distributed to marine publications, and materials its members may use in marketing their financing programs.

Boaters and industry associates will find details on why paying cash may not be the best option, why financing through an NMBA marine lending specialist may be a better option than with their local bank or credit union, tips on insurance coverage, marine surveys, and USCG documentation services, and contact information for NMBA members who are ready to help with their financing needs.


National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA)
Recreational marine industry trade group, offers instruction on how to use the website and information on membership services, affiliate associations and committees, technical services, government relations and international markets.


North Carolina Marine Trade Association
Displays the monthly NC Marine TradeWinds. Also contains information for boat builders, marinas, and commercial waterfront development related to marina and boatyard creation and expansion.


Ontario Marina Operators Association (OMOA)
OMOA is an association of marine professionals working together to improve your boating experience. Includes OMOA information, special events, and highlights of Ontario's waterways.

United States Power Squadrons
